I want to introduce you to the newest global fundraising event at the Alzheimer’s Association: The Longest Day.  Centered on one day, the summer solstice, teams join together from sunrise to sunset to honor those affected by Alzheimer's. I will be accepting donations starting today and for approximately 16 hours of daylight on the Longest Day, June 20^th.   WINNERS will be announced June21st!  You can donate to my Longest Day fundraiser for a chance to win two seats on a Motor Coach and 2 Rockies Tickets to the July 19th baseball game- Rockies vs. Rays.  It’s $5.00 per ticket!  Enter as many times as you like to help reach our goal of raising $1,000!  

Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in United States. Currently, there are more than 5 million people living with the disease, and this number is expected to more than double in the next 20 years.  In addition, over 15 million Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers provide an estimated 17.5 billion hours of unpaid care on an annual basis, valued at more than $216 billion.
