THINGS TO DO FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE IN CINCINNATI - RINGING IN 2022

Looking for something to do for New Year’s Eve in Cincinnati? We’ve compiled two lists of New Year’s Eve events – one for Family Friendly New Year’s Eve ideas and one list just for the adult party goers.

Has there ever been a year that you’d like to say good-bye to more than 2021?! Here are some spots to herald in 2022…

Adult and Kid Friendly New Year’s Eve Events:

It’s a New Year’s Eve Skate at the Fountain Square Ice Rink. Celebrate in icy style at the ice rink with music, drink specials, and a show stopping firework display. It’s sure to be a blast to remember! Online reservations are available.

Happy ZOO Year!  “Party Animals” of all ages are invited to celebrate the 13th annual Happy ZOO Year at The Cincinnati Zoo. This New Years bash will take place at the Zoo on Friday, December 31. 

BB Riverboats is offering a  New Year’s Eve Kids Cruise. Come aboard and ring in 2022….just not so late at night! Bring the whole family for a countdown to 2022 at 12:00 noon. Your cruise will be complete with all the party favors as well as a DJ for entertainment. There will be some great activities throughout the day for the kids as well as a tasty lunch buffet. Some of your favorite characters from our Pirate, Princess, and Super Hero cruises will be onboard celebrating with you! Ring in the new year in style without having to stay up to the wee hours of the night. All seating is reserved.  

Bircus Brewing is offering a Family Friendly New Year’s Eve Party, 6-8pm. The event will feature a Circus Mojo performance and instructional workshop, woodfired pizza, and an 8:00 “ball drop” with a ginger ale toast at “midnight”. Party with your kids and be home by bedtime, what more could you want out of a New Year’s Eve wing ding? Tickets required.

New Year’s Eve Events for the 21 and Up Crowd Only:

16Lots Brewing Company is hosting their first New Year’s Eve Celebration – Dueling Pianos NYE – 2021. Enjoy beer, cider, and wine plus unlimited heavy appetizers prepared by Mad Monks Pizza. They’ll have a Champagne toast at midnight and 4 hours of dueling pianos! Doors open at 7pm, entertainment begins at 8pm and goes you ring in the new year. Tickets required.

Head to the Westin for Gatsby’s House NYE (hosted by VIP Nightlife). This one claims to be “the most upscale New Years Eve Party in Cincinnati” and includes a 5 hour prepaid bar, DJ’s, casino games, and more. 8pm-1am. Ticket purchase required.

Queen City Exchange is hosting a NYE bash with a DJ, appetizers, Champagne, and an open bar. Doors open at 9pm. Tickets required.

Enjoy Bubbles and Bow Ties: Igby’s New Year’s Eve. Doors open at 9pm. Cocktail attire is encouraged. Reserve your spot to dance the night away with your friends, sip on champagne, and toast to the New Year. Tickets are limited!

Mecklenburg’s Garden hosts “Midnight in Munich“. The evening begins at 4pm with authentic German beer specials, hors d’oeuvres, and live music in the Bier Hall. At Midnight in Munich (6:00 PM Zinzinnati time), you’ll celebrate the New Year with a champagne toast and a live stream of the Brandenburg Gate fireworks in Berlin! Dinner will be served following the celebration. Tickets required.

Enjoy a New Year’s Eve Cruise with BB Riverboats, 9pm to 1am. Cincinnati’s sparkling skyline provides a spectacular backdrop as they cruise into the new year. This magical night includes a special three-entree buffet, entertainment, a split of champagne at midnight, late night snack buffet, and party favors. Boarding begins at 8pm. All seating is reserved. 

Celebrate the end of 2021 at Taft’s Ale House for a fine Gatsby-themed dinner. Dressing up is not required by encouraged! This one-night-only, five-course dinner was created with their delicious brews and specialty cocktails in mind. Come make your last meal of 2021 one to remember before you head to your next destination to watch the ball drop. Two time frames are available for purchase; 6-8PM and 8:30-10:30PM. Advance ticket purchase required.

Ring in 2022 at Vinkolet Winery. They’re offering two different packages. Grilled to Perfection is located in the main dining room and includes your dinner (reservations required, offered for 5-7:30). Dinner and Dancing (tickets required) is located in the banquet room, 7pm-1am.

The St. Clair is hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration. Doors open at 8pm. Enjoy half-price drinks from 8pm-10pm. They’ll also have their Friday night specials (8pm-close):  $1.50 Miller High Life, pints $2, lemon drops $3, wells $4, and Miller High Life pitchers. Their resident DJ will keep you moving and grooving into the new year from 10pm – 2am.
