Take a big bite of summer fun when you visit the Shark Capital of the Midwest for an extra sharky Shark Summer! Discover dozens of sharks and rays – some you can even touch! Dare to Cross the world’s first Shark Bridge and visit the Shark Nursery where you’ll see a variety of shark eggs. Be surrounded by sharks as you explore 85 feet of seamless acrylic tunnels through the 385,000-gallon shark tank. Learn about shark jaws and teeth and touch an ancient Megalodon Shark tooth that’s millions of years old!

New for Newport Aquarium’s 25th Anniversary, meet the NEW Zebra Sharks! You can see them from Shark Ray Bay Theater, Surround by Sharks Tunnel and Shark Bridge as they swim with Sandbar Sharks, Sand Tiger Sharks, Black Tip Reef Sharks and everyone’s favorite Shark Rays. Plus, meet Shan the NEW Shark Ray who recently joined the Shark Ray family for her first Shark Summer at Newport Aquarium!

Meet the NEW Zebra Sharks! They stand out in the Surrounded by Sharks exhibit with their golden color and black spots. Zebra Sharks are actually born with stripes and lose them in favor of spots as they mature.

NEW! Meet Shan the Shark Ray

Shan is one of the first Shark Rays born under human care! Born in Taiwan in 2022, she’s named after one of her caretakers. Currently a juvenile, Shan will eventually join the Shark Ray Breeding Program. Meet her in Shark Ray Bay Theater!
