		CINCINNATI ZOO PENGUINS BEGIN WEEKLY PENGUIN DAYS PARADES FOR 2023 Photo: Mark Dumont, provided by Cincinnati Zoo Penguin Days are back at the Cincinnati Zoo for 2023. Cold weather at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden means one thing: a few penguins will be brrrrrrushing off their marching shoes. Penguin Days are back at Cincinnati Zoo starting Jan 16, a press release from the zoo says. If the temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, king penguins will march in public two times a day every weekend and holiday Mondays through March 10. The morning parade will begin at 11 a.m. at the Zoo’s bird house and will end at the king penguins’ outdoor home at the Children’s Zoo entrance. The penguins will stay there until 2:30 p.m. when the second march will begin and end back at the bird house. During Penguin Days, which run through March 10, visitors will enjoy discounted admission. “The Zoo is still a wonderful place to visit during the colder months, and the deeply discounted admission that we offer during Penguin Days makes it a very affordable outing,” Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard said in the press release. “Dress for the weather, and you’ll be as happy as the penguins that you’ll see on parade days.” On parade days, the Cincinnati Zoo also offers the opportunity to interact with keas – a species of parrot – in the free-flight aviary from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., along with insect, bonobo, manatee, nocturnal animal, monitor and reptile education inside.
