WILL AND JADA PINKETT SMITH

Jada told Architectural Digest, "For Will and me this home was always a spiritual endeavor. We’re very earthy, organic people. We wanted to create a family retreat, something made by hand and as natural as possible, something that ties back to the land.” The home channels a diverse range of cultural influences: Persian, Moroccan, Spanish, and Southwest American. “Everything needed to be done by hand,” Will says. “We wanted to feel the love and labor that went into every piece of this place.”

JENNIFER ANISTON

Jennifer Aniston’s home was meticulously designed with warm woods, shag rugs, and Asian influences like koi ponds and a cascading chandelier. Aniston said she wanted the house to feel like, “A big hug... people can get so distracted by static, I love the silence here... I can just imagine the Rat Pack stopping by, someone playing the piano, and people laughing in the next room.”

CARA AND POPPY DELEVIGNE

Poppy explained that when she was a teenager, she fell in love with a de Gournay wallpaper featuring monkeys and toucans, so that was a starting point for her design inspiration. But for her bedroom, she said, “I wanted to create a calming atmosphere, with pale pinks and blues, Moroccan rugs, and super-soft fabrics. It feels like heaven.”

TIM MCGRAW AND FAITH HILL

“We wanted to feel connected to the outside of the compound, which is actually a series of eight connected pavilions," commented Hill. “When the breeze comes through the room, it's just life-changing.” The couple wanted the decor to be an extension of its surroundings, a wash of whites and blues that brought the sand and sea inside. “The house is functional,” McGraw noted, “but it really blends into the environment.”

KANYE WEST

It’s taken seven years to transform Kanye's house from a typical Hollywood Hills mansion to what Kanye dubs, "A futuristic Belgian monastery."  Inside, it’s certainly spartan with a celestial color palette of greys and whites, with walkways devoid of - well, anything.

ELTON JOHN AND DAVID FURNISH

Was "Rocket Man" inspired by Elton’s kaleidoscope of a home, or was it the other way around? Both Elton and David are great collectors of contemporary art so their swanky property is part home, part art installation, all set on one single-story plot in a district famous for its mid-century architecture. The couple specifically decided to relocate a few key colorful, life-affirming works from their other homes in Atlanta, London, Windsor, Nice and Venice.

JOHN LEGEND AND CHRISSY TEIGAN

Legend described the celebrity power couple’s united style as, "Chic and tailored, but also earthy and casual," which translated into paradise created by Don Stewart of Desiderata Design. There was a huge focus on outdoor-indoor living, with the various decking areas and terraces dressed as sophistically as the inside of their home. One moment you could be in the hot tub overlooking the Hollywood hills, and the next, in an embracing Patricia Urquiola chair below a eucalyptus tree. Paradise indeed.
