"My daughter sends me this little video, one of those “life hack” things she’s always watching on her phone. This one showed a girl fixing a loose screw with a butter knife and a rubber band.
So I saw the video and thought, well ... I’ve done harder things. I raised three kids, kept a sourdough starter alive. So I grabbed a butter knife from the drawer, found an old rubber band and gave it a try ... the rubber band slipped, the knife flew out of my hand, and somehow landed straight in the cat’s water bowl. Scared the living daylights out of poor Biscuit. Now he won’t look me in the eye." |
