Must-Know Gen Alpha Slang - Understand the Generation with Rizz

When your twin has aura, your friend has rizz, and everything is suddenly skibidi.

If you’ve recently overheard kids talking about “rizz,” “aura,” or something called “skibidi” and quietly wondered whether you missed a software update, you’re not alone.

Welcome to Generation Alpha.

Generation Alpha generally includes kids born between 2010 and 2024. They follow Gen Z, with the oldest now in their early teens and the youngest just arriving. They’re the first generation fully immersed in technology from birth.

And yes, they have opinions. Loud ones.

If you don’t understand Gen Alpha slang, congratulations – you’re officially an adult.

Here’s a friendly, parent-safe guide to some of the most popular Gen Alpha slang terms floating around right now.

Skibidi

This one comes from viral videos and internet culture. “Skibidi” doesn’t have a strict definition – it’s more of a chaotic expression kids use when something feels random, funny, or totally unhinged.

Think of it as Gen Alpha’s version of “what even is this?”

Aura

Aura is all about vibe. If someone has good aura, they radiate confidence or cool energy. Bad aura? That’s someone bringing the mood down.

It’s basically emotional Wi-Fi.

Twin

“No way, we’re twins” doesn’t mean DNA here. It means two people think alike, dress similarly, or instantly click.

It’s Gen Alpha shorthand for “you get me.”

Rizz

Short for charisma. If someone has rizz, they’re charming, smooth, or good at winning people over.

No rizz? Well… thoughts and prayers.

The fun (and slightly exhausting) part? These words evolve fast. What’s cool today might be ancient history by next semester.

But knowing a few of them can help you decode conversations, connect with younger kids, or at least avoid that blank stare moment.

And hey – even if you never use these words yourself, understanding them earns quiet bonus points.
